GREAT IS THE MYSTERY...PART 3
1Timothy 3:16. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into Glory.
1Timothy 3:16 this Bible study could last for months, if not years. It is so in depth that it actually begins in the book of Genesis chapter 1:1. I'm going to try to really shorten it down so you won't get agitated with it..I pray that these verses and thoughts be a blessing to you in Jesus name. I've done covered where God was manifested in the flesh: This simply means God(the spirit) showed himself to the world in a fleshly body called Jesus Christ. Justified in the spirit means; God that created everything, set apart a body that he could inhabit(to do the work of shedding blood for the remission of sins on the cross of Calvary) to take away the sin of the world..Seen of Angels: We must remember God created all of the Angels, so he is constantly being seen by the Angels. Matthew 4:11..Then the devil leaveth him(Jesus Christ) and, behold, Angels came and ministered unto him.(The word ministered here does not mean they came and preached to Jesus Christ, they brought him Angel's food and water..Preached unto the Gentiles: Matthew 12:18. BEHOLD MY SERVANT, WHOM I(GOD) HAVE CHOSEN; MY BELOVED, AND WHOM MY SOUL IS WELL PLEASED; (WELL PLEASED, GOD WAS SAYING HE WAS PROUD TO BE JESUS CHRIST IN THE FLESH!) I WILL PUT MY SPIRIT UPON HIM, AND HE(JESUS CHRIST) SHALL SHOW JUDGMENT TO THE GENTILES.
Believed on in the world: Matthew 16:15-17 He saith unto them, BUT WHOM SAY YE THAT I AM? 16)AND SIMON PETER ANSWERED AND SAID, THOU ART THE CHRIST (CHRIST MEANS ALMIGHTY!) THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD. 17)And Jesus answered and said unto him(Peter) blessed are thou, Simon barjona; FOR FLESH AND BLOOD HATH NOT REVEALED IT UNTO THEE, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.YOU CAN ONLY SEE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, WHEN GOD REVEALS HIMSELF TO YOU THROUGH THE SPIRIT.
For the wonderful people that only believe in the red letters in the Bible! When Jesus was speaking to Peter in Matthew 16:17-19 it was in red letters. you find Peter telling us the salvation plan in Acts 2:38 that he had received from Jesus Christ in red letters. Remember Matthew 16:19. Where Jesus said in red letters. And I will give unto thee (speaking to Peter and the rest of the disciples) the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven;
Received up into Glory: Acts 1:9-11. And when he(Jesus Christ) had spoken these things, while they(the disciples) beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him (Jesus Christ) out of their sight. 10)And while they looked steadfastly toward Heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel. 11)Which also said, you men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into Heaven?(Or Glory) this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into Heaven.(Jesus was received up into Glory!)
